"We have been using Corporate Spirit Australia for our training and development since February of 2001. Initially, there was some scepticism from staff as this was a "new" way of doing the training, however, after our initial weekend seminar, all staff gained so much from it, that we are looking forward to next year's seminar.
We have also contracted Corporate Spirit Australia as our workplace advisory service, and staff members are free to speak to them from a counselling aspect, on any range of issues they may have, from stress at home or work, relationship problems, etc. As a company our belief is that if an employee has an issue, we need this resolved, as it will affect their work performance.
It is very hard to gauge the success of training programs, however one means is that of staff turnover. Recruitment and Training of new staff can have a very hidden cost to company profits. In the 12 months prior to our using the services of Corporate Spirit Australia, our staff turnover, was 60%, which is quite normal in the high turnover travel industry. In the subsequent 12 months our turnover has reduced to 12%, which is exceptional in this industry. I place a lot of the thanks for that turnaround on the work done by Corporate Spirit Australia with our staff.
When we do have new employees we always arrange a session with Corporate Spirit Australia that helps the employee understand about values and goals of themself and the company, and shows how important to the company their own development as a person is.
A happy and satisfied employee will generate the results expected from the management, and this has proven to be the case.
